Are Lobelia species interchangeable? Specifically, Lobelia kalmii: aka Kalm’s Lobelia aka Ontario Lobelia aka Brook Lobelia is growing profusely along the river’s edge of a rocky island in Lake Huron, MI. USA

There are a number of Lobelia species that have quite different chemistry. I can’t find much info on L. kalmii. I’d stick with L. inflata or L. cardinalis. THey have the most data.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
