Looking for Lemon Thyme seeds

I generally use my own seeds from previous years or I order them from someone on ebay.

One seed that I’m having trouble with is lemon thyme. I have never grown lemon thyme from seed.

The seed companies are often selling “variegated” lemon thyme as ordinary lemon thyme and they only sell the true lemon thyme by the plant. I just wonder if someone knows where I can get true, ordinary every day lemon thyme. I use it in soups and sauces a lot and I’m out of it. I have a couple lemon thyme plants but they are not close to seed yet.

Some seed companies sell thyme as lemon thyme that isn’t even lemony.

Have you tried a lemony substitute herb, like coriander (coriander is cilantro after it’s gone to seed– the seeds have a lemon peppery taste) or lemon balm? Those might get you that flavor you’re looking for, or pretty close to it.

None of the links have it. I may just have to propagate from cuttings and wait until they flower this summer to get the seeds.

Does Lemon Thyme have the same medicinal profile as medicinal Thyme? Because Lemon Thyme is soooooo tasty!!
