StudentAny herbs that can be used in a pinch for lymphatic help if you have no cleavers?

StudentMy understanding is that echinacea nd red clover will move the lymphatic system. Dry brushing is very effective too.

Homestead InstructorEchinacea, Calendula, dandelion, devil’s claw are all good. Dry brushing (as Annett said) and cupping are great as well.

StudentDoc, I have a small swelling under my left armpit and thinking the lymphatic goodies might help. You mentioned that Echinacea (root or leaves?), Calendula, Dandelion (root or leaves?), and Devil’s Claw are all good. Would this be a topical application, internal, or both? And should I combine all of these goodies in equal parts? I have some tinctures of each already made up… Also thinking this might help hubby with his leg edema. Thanks in advance!

Homestead InstructorTake them internally. And, if the lump doesn’t quickly resolve, get it checked by a doctor.

StudentSo is the Echinacea, the root or leaves? What about the Dandelion, root or leaves? Combine all of these goodies in equal parts? I have some tinctures of each (individually, including the Calendula and Devil’s Claw) already made up…. Thanks 🙂

Homestead InstructorEchinacea root or flower. Dandelion root or leaf.
Have a look at the Immune System & Lymphatics lessons in the Body Systems Section. Lots of good info there. :0)

StudentI now have all the parts for this “alternative lymphatic formula”: Echinacea root, Calendula, Dandelion root, and Devil’s Claw (in tincture form). Some I’m not sure of the ratio on how they were made, but would I just take equal amounts of each tincture and combine them into one tincture? Dose the new blend like I would one of your blends – 1/4 to 1/2 tsp twice a day? No topical, just oral, correct? I haven’t gotten to that video yet, can’t seem to find 3 hours in one chunk and I hate to break it up. I’ll get there soon of course… Thanks.

Homestead InstructorThe Lymphatic support formula is in the lesson mentioned above and in this group:
Slide #13
It’s used internally. Of all the herbs in that formula, cleavers is the best one for drainage of a plugged lymph node.
