Hi, I’m relatively new and am trying to make some daily supplements for myself and my hubby. He has type 2 diabetes, chronic anxiety, and some male issues. I’m currently thinking of using ashwaganda, siberian ginseng, chamomile (which I know helps with his anxiety) and some kind of nutritive. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Mulberry leaf is supposed to be helpful in reducing insulin resistance (a primary factor in type 2 diabetes), as well as a cardiovascular tonic, and nutritive.  A nice liver and kidney tonic might be a good idea too.

Thanks, it would never have occurred to me to use Mulberry leaf. I didn’t realize it was so useful!

Oat straw is calming. The description on Doc’s herbal shop also says it can act as a performance enhancer for men.

Good point, I forgot about the performance enhancer part of Oatstraw. I usually just take it when i’m stressed.

I added burdock root to my daily supplements and I really like it. It is a great liver tonic, mild diuretic and helps to lower blood sugars. The cleansing of the blood has secondary anti-inflammatory benefits. I suggest watching the burdock root monograph and see if its a good fit.
