Hi, I have been looking into purchasing some meadowsweet, but the picture you have of it on the pain management module does not match up with the pictures online. Is it the arching white flower spirea, or is it the large plant with white blossoms?(meadowsweet) Thanks. I appreciate the clarification.

There are several varieties in the genus. My understanding is that they’re all medicinal. Spirea ulmaria (aka Filipendula ulmaria) is the one most often used by herbalists.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Have you used a spirea other than the ulmara? What is your opinion on the potency of other spireas? I’d like to plant one and I’m having a hard time finding the ulmara. I can find others from my local nursery. Will they be as potent?

            Thank you (:

Spirea nipponica is the one I can find.
