Does anyone know of an herb that can be used to prevent mosquito bites?

Doc often says to rub mint on yourself, if you don’t smell like food (a mammal) to them then they shouldn’t bother you

Lemon balm is also great ! I use geranium, tea tree, Cedarwood  and Lavender essential oils and mix it with a carrier oil to rub on to combat any  mosquitoes 🙂

I second this. Working at a health food store, I had a lady come in, who was making her own mosquito repellant and used a few of the essential oils you mentioned and told me she was going to dilute them in a carrier oil. Seems smart!! I haven’t tried it myself yet, but it’s on my “want to make” list!

I have luck with Clove Oil mixed with water.  Mosquitoes do not like the smell.  Works great!   I use 20 drops of oil to 4 oz of water in a glass sprayer.
