Do the benefits of mucilage come through in a tincture?

That’s a good question. I was honestly wondering that too. Just in general, when you take an herb with mucilage in it, do you have to be able to feel the sliminess. Or can you just take a tincture and get the benefits. Or even just the dried powdered herb in cold water. I really prefer not to feel that sliminess. Also, I wonder if the sliminess in okra is similar.

I’m curious,  also. My logic says powder would retain the mucilage, but I don’t know about tinctures.

Tinctures do contain mucilage, but it’s stronger in a cold infusion or the powder.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
