        Hi Everyone,

I’ve read a few articles suggesting that Mulberry leaves may have some benefits as a daily tonic for the cardiovascular system, insulin resistance, and basically a “good for what ails ya” kind of tonic.  I’ve collected some leaves from a tree in my neighborhood, and prepared a tincture to add to my winter wellness protocol.  I was just wondering if anyone else has learned anything about Mulberry leaves, or has used them for anything other than growing silk worms.

The leaves are also good for breaking fevers and for colds and flus. The berry is a favorite Yin tonic i Chinese medicine. The root bark is medicinal too, but your neighbors will probably be less happy about you collecting the roots of their trees.

I’m writing a book on medicinal trees right now. As herbalists we spend so much time looking down at herbs and weeds that we sometimes forget to look up and see the amazing medicinal trees. :0)

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
