Looking for information on using Mullein for an asthma treatment? Specifically for an older adult that takes blood pressure or heart medication?

FYI I’m a new student making my first post, hope I’m doing this correctly.

Gumweed, Lobelia, Cedar Berries, Brigham Tea, Chamomile, Chickweed, Elecampane, Frankincense, Ginger, Hyssop, Oregano, Pine needle, and Rosemary are all herbs you will learn about in this course that are listed as being helpful in Asthma cases. The only reference I could find with Mullein and Asthma is when it is taken with Rosemary. Normally I would recommend experimenting and seeing what works best, but that may not be the best course of action when it comes to asthma.

And you did great with your first post!

I know of people who have used mullein for asthma. But be careful if you are on medications as some herbs interfere with them.

So would it not be a good idea to be taking any of these herbs if you are currently using a puffer for your asthma ? Just curious because I have a friend who deals with asthma and she uses a puffer but finds that it sometimes doesn’t work and she is up at night dealing with asthma attacks. I wanted to make her a tincture but now I believe it wouldn’t be a good idea if she is currently using a puffer.

I’m not sure about the puffer, but mullein could be good because it helps the lungs stop spasming. In Doc’s formula for asthma he includes 1 part Brigham Tea, 1 part Mullein, and 1 part Lobelia

Thanks Greg for your prompt reply ! I defiantly think Mullein would be a good herb to give my friend.

Rebecca, all good advice from folks.  I just want to add a piece myself.  Now is the time to start training your soul to help your brain to be a powerful healer.  Doc Jones mentions affinity often in the course.  Relax yourself and surrender your logical mind.  Allow yourself to be drawn to the best plant or plants to help that particular person.  You have thousands of generations of knowledge of plants in your DNA blueprint already…try using it always with the logical mind as well.  With practice it will astound you.  Very nice first post 🙂
