StudentMy Auntie is suffering from nerve pain as a result from failed carpel tunnel surgery, I have been asked if I know of anything that could help, I instantly though of Teasel (Dipsacus spp.) but wanted to find out if there was anything more suited to the specific type of pain

Homestead InstructorTeasel might do well. Hops almost certainly will. Use the tincture topically as needed.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

StudentI have experimented with Hops tincture for sleep orally in water. I tried 20 drops seemed fined then tried 40 but to hard on tummy so dropped down to 10 drops and that seems to work good. Did not think to help with my nerve pain in my arm topically perhaps the oral method helped the nerve in my arm as well.

Homestead InstructorAre you taking it on an empty stomach? Lots of herbs will give a bellyache if there’s nothing in the belly.

Studenthello, does anyone know about being flauxed its a term widley used now in western medicine because of the devistating nerve damaged caused from a 5 day cycle of the antibiotic Levoquin, cipro, levaflaxin. My dear husband suffers from this in his lower legs and it effects his tendons. What can we use to help him regenerate the nerves back to normal ? We have a natrual path Doc. that has administered glutathione pushes several times in office and has not helped. He vibrates his legs several times a night and looses quality of sleep. I want to give him a whole bunch of skull cap at times to knock him out but haven’t yet. The hyperbaric chamber is something we are looking into. Any thoughts on this situation would be greatly appreciated

Homestead InstructorIf I were floxed, I’d do this:
– Eat a really clean diet with lots of antioxidants
Take chaga because it has really a lot of anti0xidants
Take Joint Support to decrease inflammation
Take Memory & Alertness because several of the herbs in that formula improve circulation and help to heal injured nerves.
Take Teasel because it also has remarkable traits for nerve healing.
Build up my gut flora with probiotics and prebiotics (see the Prebiotic Formula)

StudentI used Doc Jone’s Teasel spray on nerve pain in my hand, in the beginning it relieved the pain for a short time… I continued to apply it, the result has been that the pain has completely disappeared and has not returned. Love Teasel!

StudentHi there,
I saw a presentation yesterday on Vitamin B1 deficiency and thought of this thread. The presenter (Dr. Berg) said that Vitamin B1 deficiency mimics other problems, like carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica and nerve pain. Vitamin B1 acts on or effects the sheaths surrounding the nerves. He said that people who have taken the antibiotic Cipro, diabetics and people who eat high carbohydrate diets are often low on Vitamin B1.
So you might want to do some research on that. The presenter suggested you get your Vitamin B1 from natural or food sources, not synthetic sources (synthetic vitamins).
