StudentI’m so excited to start a new chapter in my life. I know it’s a late start at 52 but hey, better late than never, right? 🙂 I’ve been playing with the idea for a long time but never took the plunge. I’ve been making tinctures for about 15ish years off & on and have slowly trying to be more healthy. My family is riddled with heart disease & cancer so I’ve got to at least make an attempt at living a little longer. I’ve just passed my family’s average “best used by” date. LOL
Anyway, what really gave me the nudge was watching my son’s recovery from a severe spinal injury from a motorcycle accident. It happened a year ago and I had literally by chance just made a dual extraction mushroom tincture with five different mushrooms, and a separate one with just Lion’s Mane. I heard so much about the neurological benefits of Lion’s Mane so I “didn’t have a conversation” 😉 😉 with the neurologist who was working with my son in rehab. He couldn’t “approve” but wouldn’t say anything if my boy took the tincture. He was given less that a five percent chance of walking again. I wish I had given it to him sooner but we had to wait until he was no longer critical. Within a week of starting the tincture, he started wiggling his toes! He progressively improved over seven months to being able to walk with a walker. The Dr. was very impressed & can’t say for sure that the tincture was the reason for the improvement but he won’t rule it out either. So… after seeing that and with all that’s going on in the world, the type of knowledge I’m hoping to get with this course, my become invaluable. That’s my story in a nut shell.
I look forward to learning with all of you. I see there’s a few who just started as well so I don’t have to feel like a lone “newbie”. 🙂
Learning all I can. 🙂
