After countless searches, articles near but not close enough, and pouring through Duke’s Medicinal Herbs, I decided I had to create a profile on a forum in the hopes of finding a better understanding. My question is about anti-inflammatory activity in herbs. Having fixed my diet and incorporating more herbs into my life I decided to start body building and training. My garden is full of Sage, Rosemary, lemon balm, chamomile, thyme, lavender, citronella… Tons of herbs. But what I have been finding recently is that muscle growth is inflammation dependent. I feel kind of bamboozeled at the moment. I really want to continue training and building muscle while at the same time herbs are an integral part of my every day life. So my question is are there herbs that have tonic and nutritive benefits without antiinflammatory properties? The closest I’ve come is cilantro. It seems that herbs are overwhelmingly antiinflammatory. Thanks in advance.
