Oat straw I presume?

Are these wild oats? Of course the seeds are long gone, are the straw and the chaff good for anything?

How tall are they? How big are the individual seed parts? Was it growing in a dry or dampish area? Cheat Grass looks like that too.

If it IS oats (thinking not at this time) it is WAY past time. Oats need to be in their “milky” stage for harvesting.
