Ok… well first I don’t really feel worthy to be on here…. yet! I don’t have any wisdom to impart. My experience with herbs dates all the way back to 4 1/2 months ago! That’s when, after several years of praying for answers the Lord pointed directly at Dr. Patrick Jones and said, “Jan, go talk to that guy. He’ll tell you what you need to know!” I stumbled in Dr. Jones FB page back in Sept. and saw that he would be teaching some classes at an expo in Provo. I said, “That would be awesome to attend but I can’t go right now. My husband just had surgery a few days ago and my 8 year old twin son has pneumonia! So the timing stinks!” But the Lord very lovingly handed me 2 free tickets to the expo and said, “Jan….. you NEED this….. GO NOW!” Well what could I say to that? I had to go! And I am grateful beyond words that I listened. Because it has truly changed my life. Since then I’ve witnessed miracles (no that’s not an exaggeration) Miracles from common weeds I’ve plucked from my own backyard! Answers to long sought after questions that were literally right under my feet. To me that is definitely a miracle! But my knowledge is so limited Because I’m so new in this amazing journey I feel like my questions are so silly! I read the posts here and have no idea what you’re all talking about BUT I want to learn! I feel like this is a mission call. My desire to learn is overwhelmingly! So at the risk of sounding stupid I’m going to start asking questions! Lots of questions! (as soon as I figure out how to use the tap-a-talk phone app) Also I’m SO excited to take your online classes Doc! Thank you so much for providing that opportunity! Hope you can all be patient with me as I increase my level of understanding for God’s amazing plants! [emoji4] Jan

10 lashes with a wet noodle for you. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A DUMB OR SILLY QUESTION!
Did you know that you ALREADY know more than nearly every other person on this Earth? No, really, the percentage of people that are learning how to get back to their God provided roots (literally) is TINY. That make you VERY SPECIAL. You have already tried and experienced MIRACLES! WOO HOO! :yahoo:
I cannot tell you then number of times I have learned from questions others have asked. Either from Doc or other members answering or inspiring me to do research. I am sure Doc would say the same thing.
That was a beautiful story you told and I hope it will carry you through the learning curve.

Wow! That was the best noodle lashing I’ve ever had! Thank you! You’ve given me lots of confidence to keep pressing forward!!
…now if I can just figure out how to use this darn phone app…
I didn’t think I was technology impaired but seriously I can’t figure out how to ask a question! Haha I’ll get it though… eventually…
Thank you so much again for your kind and inspiring noodle lashing. Made me feel happy

Homestead InstructorWelcome Jan!
We love questions. Don’t underestimate yourself. One of the things I love about herbs is that whenever I talk to someone about them for a few minutes, I invariably learn something really cool.
I have no doubt that you will teach us wonderful things. So glad you’re learning to love the weeds. Do tell us your stories.
We’re excited to learn things with you.
