Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas celebration.  My hubby went to an auction a bit over a year ago, and came home with some mylar bags of herbs (sealed of course).  I don’t know how old they were when he got them, but my guess would be at best several years.  Question is – are they worth tincturing and if so would we just use more of them than we would if they were fresher, or are they just compost?  I’m frugal, so throwing things away is hard for me LOL!  Thanks much!

Shelf life of dry herbs is a year or so. If you’re going to spend the money and time to tincture, get some good stuff.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
