You can put old herbs in a chickens nesting box!

calendula, spearmint, rosemary, chamomile, lavender, rose petals, cornflower, peppermint

Do you know any other herbs that are safe for Chickens?

Do you have any other ideas how to use old herbs?

Didnt they spew thyme on the floors in the dark ages?

If you still got a month left to use some herbs up, you can mix 10 or 20 herbs up and put in a shaker and sprinkle over your eggs.  Rosemary is one good inclusion for this idea.

This is good to know. We are gearing up for getting chickens right now.

(meaning breakfast eggs) or other meals that would do well with a sprinkle of herbs.  This is good for those who want to avoid salt. (It does not make sense to me to have to avoid salt because of the sodium potassium pump in each cell. I wonder if it is more of a kidney issue rather then a salt intake issue.  Of course I am not referring to salt intake due to eating processed foods)  Sorry to digress!
