I watched the video from Doc Jones on using onion juice for an ear ache. Thanks for that video. I was wondering if you could tincture onion juice to use for an ear ache if going away on a vacation and you might not have access to a fresh onion. Or would you use the garlic tincture for an ear ache if away on vacation and you don’t have access to fresh onion juice?
        Thank You

I was about to ask the same thing 🙂

Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer!

I would be very cautious about putting alcohol into my ear, but that’s my initial thought. Personally, I would try and find a grocery store wherever I would be on vacation and take a bit, pulp it up, and pour the juice into my ear.

Thank You for your reply. There are some homesteading channels not this one that suggest for swimmer’s ear — mix equal amounts of white vinegar and Isopropyl Alcohol. Then put a couple of drops in one ear then after about 30-45 seconds turn your head and let it drain out and then repeat for the other ear. Don’t know if you or anyone ever heard of that remedy. But thanks for your response I am just starting out and it is nice to hear from others and their experiences.

Greg, as usual, is quite correct. I wouldn’t put a tincture into the ear canal. Stick with onion juice. Onions are pretty easy to find.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
