StudentDear Doc – hubby has been using this oral rinse (ingredients below) for a while, and though I’ve got him using your periodontal formula either morning or night, he still wants to use the one below. I would like see if you have any thoughts on why certain things are in that recipe, and if some/many could be swapped out and we could make something very similar. This stuff is pricey and it would be nice to make our own blend that does as good. He has deep pockets and is convinced that this formula is helping with that. Any help would be welcome! Thanks as always…

Homestead InstructorAll of the herbs in that formula would be fine for periodontal or gingival issues but I don’t think you need 15 of them. I’m also pretty wary about use of essential oils internally.
It won’t hurt him and would likely help. It’s just a bit much on ingredients (which dilutes the power of each of them). Five is better than 15 in any herb formula.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

StudentTopic AuthorSorry, I totally overlooked this thread I started. When you have a few minutes, would you be a sweetie pie and dial this formula down to what you would like it to be (# of parts included of course)? Thanks so much – hope you are doing well – we’d all be lost if you weren’t “herding us cats”!
