My daughter has a 16 week old puppy who was just diagnosed with parvo. The vet said to just get him to eat and drink and then wait and see. Not giving much hope. They gave him an IV with antibiotics, anti-nausea/anti-diareaha meds. They gave her probiotic powder and told her to mix it with his food but he won’t eat it. She (on her own) decided to give him chicken bone broth, force feeding with a dropper. She is also giving him water with a dropper every half hour or so. He doesn’t seem as lethargic as yesterday. I told her to mix the probiotic powder in with the bone broth. Is there anything else that can be done? Any herbs that might help? Anything that might encourage an appetite or get him to eat? He’s not usually a fussy eater.

Doc Jones talks about Parvo in the lower digestive tract lesson, so you might find some helpful information in that section.

I think Doc talked about Parvo in the “When you are sick as a dog and you are a dog” talk.

It’s so encouraging to know that this topic is covered! I’ve wondered many times if I could save a puppy with Parvo. Looking forward to hearing what Doc has to say!
