I know that pine needle tea is full of vitamin C, is good for colds, flus, and covid, but is simmering (on very low heat) needles on the stove good for anything.

PubMed has some good articles on the essential oil of pine, which simmering would release.  It talks about the chemical constituents, antimicrobial and antioxidant benefits as well.  I would put it on her but, not sure if I can reference it.

Simmering pine needles that aren’t powdered for  a minute is a good way to make a tea. It’ll have the same benefits of pine needle prepared in other ways.

Doc, Can I use loblolly pine needles to make tea and or tincture? I can’t find any information on different types of pine trees. Thank you for your reply.

Loblolly has lots less safety/efficacy research than white pine or red pine but has been traditionally used for similar issues.
