I have been researching poke root to use for lymphatic drainage that is causing a lot of swelling after all nodes have been removed underarm. I understand the toxic nature of poke and have ran in to a lot of contradictory information. I have make a tincture already but have been very reluctant to start it. Patient is in full remission from cancer and on no medication.

I had read that poke root was a great antibiotic and made a tincture years ago – but never used it.  I had also read about the toxicity that you refer to.  I ended up dumping the tincture.  There are so many safe herbs with powerful antibiotic properties that it wasn’t worth taking the risk.  IMHO, I’d opt for a safer herb for lymphatic drainage.  How about cleavers?  🙂  Will follow this topic as I’ve been curious about poke.

Hi, I was going to ask if you ruled out Cleavers too.   I’m following as well 🙂
