StudentI heard about this for the first time last month. Someone dear to me was diagnosed with POTS after not knowing what was going on since he was a teenager. It won’t kill you, just makes you think it will.
It’s a blood circulation disorder, and doctors can’t figure out if the brain isn’t sending the right message, the nervous system isn’t delivering the message, or the muscles aren’t hearing it. But the muscles don’t contract the veins when blood is needed in the head. When someone who has this disorder stands up quickly, gets overheated, or any other situation that requires the body to raise the blood pressure, the blood pressure drops drastically and the heart beat raises out of control to compensate. Dizziness results, and passing out is a possibility if the person doesn’t lay down immediately.
Raising salt and water intake is the only natural treatment I can find. There’s no cure, but fortunately it’s not fatal.
Does anyone have experience with this disorder, and know if of a natural treatment that could help?

StudentWhen I was in was working in the schools, I had kids come in all the time with it. Some worse than others. Here is a good article on it: (REDACTED By Auto-Moderator Robot). I recently heard that it is showing up in adults after having Covid. For sure look into adaptogens for stress. Looking forward to seeing what else the Doc says.

StudentTopic AuthorThanks:) The person has managed to escape COVID until now. But we suspect this has been a lifelong condition, and age is catching up. The only thing I could think of was cayenne to improve blood vessel contraction. Would rutin also help?

Dr. Patrick Jones
Homestead InstructorI wonder if Cayenne would be helpful. Cayenne markedly improves elasticity of the blood vessels. This is why it’s good for either high or low blood pressure. If the vessel is more elastic, it can stretch better to respond to higher pressure (and thus reduce it) but that same elasticity can help the vessels contract better when pressure drops (and thus correct it).
Another thought would be vagal nerve stimulation. A lot of the symptoms of POTS are related to hyperadrenergic effects. In other words, the blood pressure drops and the adrenal glands kick into a fight or flight response. The Rezzimax Tuner has some remarkable abilities that seem related to vagal nerve stimulation. The vagus is king of parasympathetic processes and suppresses sympathetic “fight or flight” effects. I have no idea but I wonder if stimulating the vagus with regular Rezzimax sessions would help mitigate some of the POTS effects.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

StudentGod Bless you Doc! Thank you so much! My 15-year-old niece was recently diagnosed with Pots syndrome as well. I was also wondering if Cayenne would help. Praise God for the wisdom he has blessed you with. God bless you for sharing that wisdom as well. THANK YOU!
Have a blessed day!

StudentTopic AuthorHello F May Cramer
These are my notes on varicose and spider veins caused by poor circulation in Michael Moore’s class. Garden hyssop, witch hazel (leaves or vinegar), ruscus (butcher’s broom), quercitin and rutin flavonoids. Best to use both internally and externally.
There are different kinds of POTS, but it seems logical that his recipe would work for it as well since POTS causes poor circulation. A friend also recommended taking something for microcirculation, but I haven’t had a chance to look into it.
Disclaimer: I’m not familiar with the toxicity of these plants, but rutin and cayenne have helped me.
