Over the last month or so, I was so excited to learn that the dreaded puncture vine has medicinal values.  I immediately harvested what I found on our farm, enough to make a few tinctures.  It is really terrible as a tea as it doesn’t all powder well, at least that is my experience.    I then noticed that my neighbor had bunches of it growing in her front yard.  I kindly asked if she would let me “harvest” some.  Would you believe it?  She was so kind to allow me to do it!  She even helped me “harvest!”  A week later she arrived at my door with two huge boxes of “medicinal weeds!”  They were in their prime for harvesting! They are now nicely dried, but such a pain to process!! (Literally!:)  Short of starting an etsy shop to sell the tea or tincture, I thought maybe someone out there has some goodies from your area that you have in abundance that you are willing to trade?  Ha, ha!  Such fun!!

I would like to trade for some of your puncture vine. It grows well around here but where I am able to find I do not trust that there hasn’t been round-up sprayed on or near! I make handmade soap often with herbs from the garden!
