Excited to be a part of this community!!  My ‘first post’ to the Student Forum.  Grateful to Doc Jones and his family for this academy with community.

We have an amazingly abundant amount of Purple Deadnettle on our property.  I have harvested two brown grocery bag fulls last night due to roofers coming today, here, to replace our home and garage roofing.  I have found it surrounding our home on the south  to west side of the home and then on the same with our barn.  I identified it looked like a member of the mint family.  Excitedly, I am correct.  I am getting there in identification. 🙂

I am thinking on doing a vinegar wash and then letting this payload of a harvest dehydrate by dry air and salads.  If you have any suggestions on your experience in drying this herb for preservation, I welcome you to advise this newer student to herbalism.  Thank you much!  🙂
