        Hello!

I can’t seem to find a definitive answer to this despite looking at the school lesson and google as there is different families and names with the one I bought.   Does anyone know if Radix glycyrrhize (GanCoa) Uralensis is the same and has the same properties as G. Glabra and Lepidota which the school lesson is about.  The school states the family is Fabacea and the TCM herbal supply I bought mine from says it is the family Leguminosae.  I was kind of surprised by the smell of mine when I got it as it smells kind of smokey but has the typical licorice sweetness.  There is warnings online about using it for too long in high doses.  Any insights or information is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
