Hello. I am Veria, a new student. I am posting a question about something herbal. What herb can I use to help or heal my scalp psosraises?

Well Black Walnut can be used topically to help with an itchy scalp, I’ve also heard of Rosemary being used in shampoo that helps with scalp issues. However, I would start in a completely different manner with some Burdock Root to help out the liver. A lot of the times the skin has issues because the liver is overloaded and it dumps what it can’t deal with onto the skin. Many times when you take care of the liver, the skin clears right up. If that didn’t work though, I would move on to trying Rosemary or Black Walnut

Thank you for the input. I like the idea of the burdock to start the healing from within.

You could also try Aloe Vera as it is soothing for  itching and flaking. The gel found inside the aloe leaf is known for its healing properties.

Thanks for your input. Aloe is very soothing. I do use aloe for burns.  I do have a question for you. Is the aloe vera that you buy in the store in the bottle the same as that from the plant?

I would believe so as long as you it says 100% aloe and is the only ingredient in the bottle. You don’t want anything with sulfates or parabens.

I have used comfrey Tea to wash the scalp only if there are no open deep areas it is soothing especially after it is cooled off. I found it to be of good use. also it does not make your hair gooey.
