StudentHave you tried Elderberry?
Hot tea with honey and Cinnamon can help numb the throat. When I had strep it really helped me. But the Elderberry is where I would start.
Have a blessed day!

StudentI would take it as a syrup. You can usually find elderberry syrup at your local health store. Sometimes you can find elderberry syrup that has more then one ingredient like echinacea in it or you can find a more concentrated syrup that has straight elderberry(which is more potent). Cayenne in water could help as well.
Have a great day,
Elizabeth

StudentScarlet Fever is streptococcus, which is usually treated with antibiotics. Great herbs that fit this genre are: garlic, Oregon grape root, calendula, oregano… and the list is very long. If it was my throat, I think I would make a tea from either calendula or yarrow (or a combination of several of these herbs), put it in a spritzer bottle to spray my throat as needed. A bit of echinacea is another good one to stir into the mix.

Scarlet Fever is caused by the same bacterium that causes Strep throat, Streptococcus pyogenes. The difference with scarlet fever is that the bug release some toxins that cause the rash etc…
Since it’s a bacterial infection rather than a virus, antibiotic herbs and immune supporting herbs are the way to go.
FOr bacterial stuff, I use the herbs in BugBuster and Immunity Support. I do both several times a day. I talk about bacterial infections in this lesson starting at slide #18. The formulas are there:
Immune System & Lymphatics II: Infectious Disease Interventions
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
