St. John’s Wart was my first tincture and oil I made years ago from watching a YouTube video. Since then, it has been the only herb I always use fresh, mainly to get that red color. I read in a post that Doc dries all of his herbs. So now, I’m wondering if the red color has a medicinal reason or if it is just pretty color.
