Moved this from another thread where you asked previously:
For strep (or any sore throat) I have used cayenne. Patrick taught me this one. Hot as you can take temp AND herbally. Sip it and swallow it slowly. Keep it in contact with the inflamed tissue as long as possible. :scared: Guess what! IT WORKS! :yahoo: I have had several others try this as well. After getting past their looks of disbelief and fear it has worked for them too. Those that would not try it have sore throats for days. Poor them.

Sure. Why not?
🙂 Doc

StudentYou can get a strep infection pretty much anywhere. In fact, anywhere you can get staph, you can get strep. Sometimes concurrently! :scared: Staph and strep live on all sorts of household surfaces, but especially in bathrooms, and even on the surface of your skin. (It only becomes an issue if the skin is broken and not kept clean). That’s why we’re supposed to spray and wipe down equipment at the local gym after using, before the next person gets on.
As for treatment for sore throats: this is entirely controversial, mind you, but my Latino neighbors and friends swear by Tequila– WITH LEMON– emphasis on the lemon. 😉
As for me: I’ve never had strep! I must be immune. I’ve been exposed countless times, but I’ve never had it. I wonder if they could use me to make the first strep vaccine? :flapper:

Oh, the evil word vaccine. Treading on thin ice there.

:big grin: True. However, they do have their place. Though I am NOT in favor of OVER-VACCINATING, I am in favor of vaccinating. For example, I keep my dogs up to date on their rabies vaccines, as required by law– because rabies is just plain scary and not something to mess around with, especially when it comes to the good of the public. :scared: Do I get them their parvo and distemper Every. Single. Year? No. I used to, when I didn’t know better. But now I don’t. Some nationally acclaimed veterinarians say once the puppy boosters are done, the dog should have a lifetime immunity.
On the other hand… I just happen to have a sister who was exposed to rubella in the womb. She is profoundly disabled (was life-flighted to a pediatric hospital three times in the first six months of her life), and has lived in a nursing home since she was five years old. My mother had rubella, chicken pox, and measles as a child, but somehow the rubella managed to cross the placental barrier and infect my sister. Recent research has shown that measles “trumps” the body’s immunity to everything else, as the last virus had. For example, if you have Rubella before you have Measles, you are no longer immune to Rubella, and are susceptible to contracting it again. If my mother had had the MMR before getting pregnant, despite her childhood immunity, perhaps my sister would be “normal” instead of in a nursing home, unable to even speak, never mind dress herself. But they didn’t know this back in the 70’s. This is a recent discovery.
So to reiterate: I “get it” if people are wary of vaccines, and feel they are unnatural. But vaccines save lives. They have their place next to herbal/natural medicine. *stepping off soapbox now.*

Difference between measles and rubella
Rubella is also called German measles, while rubeola is regular measles. The biggest difference between the two is that rubella is considered to be a milder disease that only lasts around three days.

StudentMy mother was diagnosed with strep in her bladder. Her doctor gave her three different antibiotics to try over the course of 6 weeks. She was miserable with no change other than having worse symptoms. And I was getting nervous about her health, and wondering if it would spread through her body. Anyway, I got her hooked up with Doc’s formula, Bladder – INFXN. She saw improvement in 48 hours. By the 5th day she was markedly improving. She was doing so well so fast she told me, “I don’t dare say I’m getting well, for fear it isn’t true.” She continued to improve and get well completely. She has since stocked up on the formula. The tincture is sitting in her cupboard just in case.
Thanks Doc and Steven for helping us!! The work you do really matters to my family:)

Thank-you Annett. I’m glad she’s feeling better. This is why we do what we do. :0)
