In acupuncture, small seeds or beads are sometimes used as an alternative to needles in a technique called “ear seeds” or “auriculotherapy.” These seeds are typically placed on specific points on the ear and secured with adhesive tape. I would love to explore the idea of using plants on acupoints in the body

The seeds are just conveniently sized to use as acupressure point stimulators like the beads are. That said, there are some interesting things that happen when essential oils are used on points. We’ll be covering some of that sort of thing in the auriculotherapy school we’re putting together.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
