        I make a tincture of mullein and mallow. I need to make more. I have powdered mullein but only fresh mallow. Should I make the tincture with them or 1) pick fresh mallow to blend with the fresh mallow or 2) wait until the mallow is dried  to blend with the dry mullein? Does blending dry & fresh make a difference?

          Hi Kathleen, I tincture my herbs separately and then blend them. I have never tried to tincture a fresh and powdered herb together. I have tinctured fresh single herbs. For this, I use higher-proof alcohol with fresh herbs to account for the added water content or the fresh herbs. I also let some of the herbs wilt for 24 hours before tincturing fresh herbs.
