Hi, I’m relatively new to herbalism as well. There are many books that I’ve learned a lot from and have enjoyed. The one’s I’ve used most are: 1_Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine, Andrew Chevallier, 2_Adaptogens in Medical Herbalism, Donald R. Yance, 3_Medical Herbalism-The Science and Practice of Herbal Medicine, David Hoffmann, The Green Pharmacy, James A. Duke (I’ve got several of his books and they are really good), 4_Both of Doc Jones’ books are easy reads, enjoyable and tons of information, 5_The Modern Herbal Dispensatory, Thomas Easley & Steven Horne…The list goes on but those are the books I’ve learned from and continually go back to. Gladstar is good also. I have a couple of her books. Doc Jones’ list of favorite books might be helpful for you also. I’ve purchase a couple of those for reference, “Herbal Contraindications and Drug Interactions plus Herbal Adjuncts with Medicines by Francis Brinker” and “The Essential Guide to Herbal Safety, Simon Mills & Kerry Bone”.
