What would be the top five or so herbal books to read?

I’m definitely interested to see what everyone says, I’m new to the world of herbalism and would love to see some more resources. I am currently reading through Rosemary Gladstar’s book Medicinal Herbs: A Beginners Guide and have been enjoying it

Hi, I’m relatively new to herbalism as well. There are many books that I’ve learned a lot from and have enjoyed.  The one’s I’ve used most are: 1_Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine, Andrew Chevallier, 2_Adaptogens in Medical Herbalism, Donald R. Yance, 3_Medical Herbalism-The Science and Practice of Herbal Medicine, David Hoffmann, The Green Pharmacy, James A. Duke (I’ve got several of his books and they are really good), 4_Both of Doc Jones’ books are easy reads, enjoyable and tons of information, 5_The Modern Herbal Dispensatory, Thomas Easley & Steven Horne…The list goes on but those are the books I’ve learned from and continually go back to. Gladstar is good also. I have a couple of her books. Doc Jones’ list of favorite books might be helpful for you also. I’ve purchase a couple of those for reference, “Herbal Contraindications and Drug Interactions plus Herbal Adjuncts with Medicines by Francis Brinker” and “The Essential Guide to Herbal Safety, Simon Mills & Kerry Bone”.

Where can I find Doc Jones list of favorite books?

                Thanks for your help!

His list is posted in the course shell in the General Herbalism section. “Books Doc Likes”.  I think it’s the last item posted in that section.

                    Happy researching!
