I made the lotion in the lesson, and the first try turned out great. However, the second and third batch was like broth in a soup. Why is it doing that? I placed the soupy concoction in a tin can and it became a salve. I’m so confused.

If the process and ingredients were identical, the most likely reason would be different temperature.
Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
