I found an herb shop to purchase a few things that I need until I can start making my own medicine.

Today I went in for some of their viral eliminator herb blend, allergy relief, and clear lungs formula. I couldn’t help but think of one of the recent modules where Doc Jones warns against labeling things in this manner. Anyway, as I shopped around, a lady came in for some type of chemo blend and explained that she hasn’t told her doctor about these things she’s been taking “on the side”. It took everything I had to not insert myself into the conversation and warn her of how that has the potential to cause some serious trouble. The woman doing the consultation did not take the opportunity to tell the customer that she should be communicating with her oncologist and informing him of what she’s taking alongside her chemo treatment. I didn’t feel that it was my place to step into that discussion, especially as a novice to the herbal community, but at the same time, I felt like the customer is putting herself in a potentially dangerous situation.

        What would you do?

I’d say in a very loving way that herbs and drugs can often interact with each other; sometimes in good ways and sometimes in bad ways and that it’s a good idea to talk to someone that understands both before combining them.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

              Thank you for your response.

I didn’t want to meddle, but I felt that it could be important in this situation.
