StudentDoes anyone know what size dropper top fits the neck on the tincture bottles here? I have lots of different dropper tops, but none of them fit these bottles. I’m having to use the pipette instead, but have to wash it after every use rather than just having the dropper top handy. Thoughts anyone?

Homestead InstructorHere are some that might work depending on what bottles you have:

StudentTopic AuthorIt’s the bottles from your store that I need the dropper caps for. I just didn’t want to order a bunch from some company, then find they don’t fit your bottles. If I knew what the neck/fitment size for yours is, I might could find the right dropper caps. But like I said, I have a bunch of dropper tops, and none fit your pretty bottles. I could switch to my bottles, but then I wouldn’t have your nice labels. Thanks 🙂

StudentTopic AuthorShe said there were none and they have no recommendations for where I can go for ones that fit your tincture bottles. I proposed that she send me the labels for the tinctures that I bought as well as ones I will be buying soon, and then I can put the tincture in one of my bottles that has a dropper top, and throw your bottle away – wasteful, but I can’t think of another way if I need dropper tops. If I knew the threading/fitment size of your bottles, I might eventually find some that fit, but that doesn’t help me now. Hard to imagine you don’t have any available or know where I can get the right size. Bummer for sure.

Homestead InstructorWe stopped doing much with droppers because storing a tincture with a dropper on top is a bad idea. The rubber tends to dry and crack and then the tincture evaporates. If you want to use droppers, it’s much better to just have some droppers that you keep separate from your tinctures, use them if you want and then rinse the dropper and put the bottle’s regular lid back on. An added benefit of doing it that was is you don’t have to care if the threads match. :0)
Personally I haven’t used a dropper in years. I either eyeball it or use a teaspoon to measure tincture doses.

StudentI have the same issues, but with spray tops. Abut half of the ones I buy from Amazon fit Doc’s bottles, about half don’t. It’s a pain but I do see that HGH does sell the spray tops on the store as well. I currently find that about 8 sprays equals ¼ tsp of tincture. YMMV (your mileage may vary).
