        Hello!

First time poster here.  My question is this; is there a quick way to know which side of a bulb is supposed to go up?  To be specific, I’ve ordered bulbs for my medicinal garden (either herbs or flowers) and a couple bulbs had what looked like roots coming out of both ends.  The little pamphlet that came with the bulbs was no help.  I even YouTubed it but still, no answers.  For the life of me I can’t remember which plant it was so I’m just throwing this out there… is there sure fire way to know besides a rooted end which side goes up or down???  Thanks!

I always put the end with the little rootlets pointing down. That said, if you can’t tell which end is which, you can always cheat and lay them in the ground sideways. They’ll figure it out. :0)

If you can post a picture of your bulb and/or tell us specifically which species you’re asking about, folks might have more info.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
