        Hello,

How long can I expect the Wound Irrigation Tea to last once I make it up and stick in in my mobile vet truck?

        Thanks!

          Dry or liquid?

          Cooled or atmospheric temps?

Liquid and cooled it should last a couple or three days.

Make it like Sun Tea and do not apply heat to it.

            Hello,

I guess my dilemma as a mobile vet is, I don’t know when I will come across a wound. I guess I can carry some dried Cleavers, Calendula and Echinacea and when I have the need to flush a wound, make it then. But then, where do I get boiling water, and then time to let it cool….just trying to figure out the logistics is all. Same with poultices:)

            Thanks!

            Danielle

Poultices are easy: mix and apply….. or if it is bloody, just apply.

You could do a cold/warm infusion of the Irrigation tea and let it steep while you are doing your work. Maybe get one of those 12V plug in cups?

                  Hi Danielle,

Herbal infusions last about three days if refrigerated.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
