I have an older (about 10 yrs old) Lhasa Apso pup. Her name is Cally. The vet seems to think she has a yeast infection that was from an allergy to her food. We have since changed the food. She seems to feel much better, but her yeasty skins is still a problem. Since the allergy issue started she started having and gunky issue with her eye. Her left eye has always been a problem as the tear duct doesn’t work. But now her right eye is filmy and I can’t get it to clear up. She is all but blind at this point.
I clean her eyes twice a day and put use a saline solution to clean it out. I’ve also ground lavender & fennel for the anti-fungal properties of lavender and I read fennel was good for “clearing fuzzy eyes”.
Does anyone have any other ideas on helping to clear her up? The skin is slowly getting better, although I read the pigment change could take months to years to resolve. But I hate that she’s blind and am wondering if there is a way to help clear that up or resolve it to a degree that she’ll have some sight.
Anything would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
