Have women historically used yellow dock during pregnancy? I did see that it is listed as safe on the pregnancy list but unknown for lactation.

I am 32 weeks pregnant and took some for a couple of days forgetting about the berberine it has??

Thanks for any responses in advance!

I used yellow dock root to increase hemoglobin during several of my pregnancies.  I used it in the last trinester in combination with dandelion root.    It seemed to work tremendously well, and I did not know of any contraindications at the time.

Yellow dock doesn’t contain berberine. It does have some anthriquinones that can be passed through the milk and we just don’t have enough data on it to be sure it’s a good idea for nursing little people.

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.
