        Hi,

I have a young woman, an intern, who came to us with severe gastritis. She says her stomach hurts so much at times that she cries and when it gets bad, she vomits and can’t eat.

Since she has been here at our farm, she has limited herself to white rice, carrots, sweet potatoes, greens and protein shakes that she makes (pea protein and almond milk).

We have fresh herbs so she is making a tea each day from mallow leaves, comfrey and mint. She has also just started making a tea from agimony and drinking psyllium husk in between meals. This seems to be helping but looking for ideas to cure this condition :>)

Ps she meditates a lot and is living a low stress life.

        Thanks,

        Shaundele

I’d look at the Digestive support formula. The Powder is best. The Tummy Tamer might be a good addition too. If those don’t work. Let me know. We’ll bark up a different tree. :0)

Recipes for both of those formulas are here:

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

Thanks Doc, we will try that.

I also have a lot of Agrimony. I have read that it’s good for digestive issues – do you think we should try some of that with her or no?

Agrimony (like most rose cousins) is an astringent for diarrhea and such. Astringency probably won’t be as beneficial as carminatives, demulcents, nervines, etc, for a bellyache.
