Young man with bulged discs after accident

I have a young man with bulged discs from c3 down to L5 after being rear ended by a semi. Twice. Doctors wanted to fuse all his vertebra. He wants to try herbal treatments. What would be recommended to help with this? Thanks for any help and advise

A really good acupuncturist can often help such cases too.
