StudentHello all!
I just finished a year of study in midwifery, and we discussed herbs a lot! I thought I’d share some brief (and basic) pointers on some useful herbs to help alleviate common discomforts during pregnancy:
Morning Sickness
Wild Yam root tea: sip as needed/Ginger root capsules: up to 25/dayVaricose Veins
Oatstraw tea: 1-2 cups/day Witch Hazel extract: apply topicallyConstipation
Eat prunes, rhubarb, and whole grains dailyBackache
St. John’s Wort tincture: 15-25 drops in water as neededHeartburn
Slippery Elm lozenges as neededFatigue
Skullcap tincture: 5-15 drops 30 minutes before bedHigh Blood Pressure
Garlic oil capsules: 2-10 daily/Hawthorn berry tincture: 15 drops in water, 2-3x/dailyPre-eclampsia

Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

StudentHello everyone! Thans for that information! I was looking at some herbs for pregnancy because I am pregnant, but specifically I looking for herbs that are nutritional, I know about Alfalfa and nettle, but I wonder if there are more? Can someone help me?
