There is a part of me that says that I should go ahead and have an open hysterectomy as this is an extra large fibroid and needs to be removed, but there is also something inside me that says not having surgery would be really nice. I have lots of questions. Is the Fibroid formula there to reduce the fibroid or just manage the symptoms? If I have to go the surgery route, is there a pain management protocol for after surgery so I won’t have to take loads of ibuprofen? Is there something that I have missed? Sorry about having so many questions and I hope this okay to share.
If you want or need more information – I was told that I had a misshaped uterus after a hysteroscopic myomectomy last June. Symptoms have persisted and we moved. New doctor has found an enlarged uterus and a 17 cm fibroid. Of course, this is a bit of a shock and lots of emotions, but does explain my continued symptoms. The doctor gave me a prescription to help increase the lining of the uterus. I had been taking yarrow prior to this and had some positive results. I plan to make a tincture of the Fibroid formula and take as a tea while a tincture is brewing (starting that today). According to a couple of drug trackers all of the ingredients have no interaction with the scrip from my doctor except white peony which is not in any of the med trackers. I also plan to crash course the Female Reproductive System class. Thanks for reading.

I thought that I would give an update, even if it is just for me to track what has been going on. I’m scheduled for an open hysterectomy on May 1st. Although, I was getting about two weeks free from bleeding with a yarrow tincture, that has come to an end. I’m currently around 50 days of straight bleeding. I’ve also realized that the more I do the more I bleed. Easter Sunday, of course during church, I started hemorrhaging. In about 15 minutes, I had lost enough blood to make an active crime scene for a horror movie. My husband had to help me home. I took the yarrow tincture and realized that it was not enough. On the advice of my husband, I contacted the doctor on call and he wanted me to go straight to the ER for a blood transfusion. I decided to try the stop bleeding tincture first. Twenty minutes later, I knew that I would not have to go to the ER, but it did not stop the bleeding completely. It’s taking me longer to make decisions and I’m just tired of feeling like someone is stabbing me. I have some tinctures brewing and I feel good about those, but concerned if I will need to make some more.

I pray your given the wisdom to deal with this Michelle. My heart goes out to you! (I hemorrhaged for most of my life. Later in life, Wild Yam from a particular company stopped it for a couple of years.) How I wish I would have had an herbalist guide me when young. It would have given me such relief!

Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry for what you’re going through. Even though you plan to have surgery, definitely still do a crash course on the female reproductive system. There’s many many herbs that have been so helpful to me. Vitex is one of them, but there’s others. I’m so sorry about all that bleeding. Good luck!! Jennie

I’m so sorry, that sounds so scary! Thank you for the update. I also have a rather large fibroid that causes me great discomfort, but thankfully doesn’t cause such intense bleeding as you’ve described. My doctor recommends a partial hysterectomy, and I’ve also spoken with a specialist about uterine artery embolization. That procedure would be less invasive. Still, I have been holding out hope I could find some herbal or other natural remedy to help reduce the symptoms.
