Dr. Patrick Jones
Homestead InstructorHi Folks,
I want to apologize for not getting some things done this year (2024). There are a few lessons that need videos (or better videos) and I posted on some of the lessons that the videos would be up early this year. I also haven’t been on the forum much this year.At the beginning of this year, I made plans to finish and upload those videos as a first priority and expected that it would be done by the early spring. Unfortunately, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with a brain tumor in late January. The tumor wasn’t malignant (not cancerous) but did require brain surgery, a hospital stay in the neurosurgery ICU, about a month of recuperation, and then six weeks of daily radiation treatments. All of this was done out of state away from my office and studio. Since the spring was lost to me and the summer was full of conferences and events I’d committed to and to two schools (one on emergency medicine and one on auricular therapy) that I’d committed to producing with Dr. Jed Adamson, the lesson video production had to be put off until winter.Since getting back up to speed and getting the crazy summer obligations behind me, I have again prioritized getting those last few new videos up. In fact, I made up a filming schedule and started working on it just a couple of days ago. I have every expectation of getting them all done soon.I’ve also just scheduled a free online webinar for students (something else I had meant to do more of this year). I’ll be sending out an announcement email with the details in the next few days. Those free student webinars will be happening every month or two.The dust is finally settling this year, and some nice school things will be happening in the next several weeks as I finally get a chance to do all the “catch up” on things I wanted to do in the school last spring. I’ll also be on the forum lots more. :0)I appreciate everyone’s patience. December will see some fun things and I also have some cool website and school projects and a couple of new books planned for 2025. Happy holidays everyone. I love and appreciate you all an am grateful to be part of your lives.Doc JonesPS: I’m healthy and doing well and I’m apparently no more likely than anyone else to need brain surgery again. The surgeons said that after this last one there just wasn’t much left in there and that it was kind of drafty. :0)Don't use herbs or combine herbs with medications or use them during lactation or pregnancy without talking with your healthcare provider.

StudentHello Dr. Jones. For some reason, I thought that (your surgery) was a historical event that had already happened in the way past. So, I am stunned that you were able to keep up at all this past year! If I stub my toe on a mole hill, I am no good for anything. You are climbing mountain after mountain and still going strong. May 2025 be kind to you and yours. May God bless your work going forward. May all who are taking part in your classes achieve their goals in life. May roadblocks not stop us from gaining this precious knowledge of God’s Creation. Thank you for your life’s work.

It was also historical. I also had brain surgery in Jan, 2021. This last one was in 2024. They were both for the same mass, a benign meningioma (not cancer). Part of it was in one spot, the other part was in a place that couldn’t be accessed via the first surgery so they just decided to watch it for awhile. I don’t think I’ll be having any more. The brain surgeon said there wasn’t much left in there to work with in there and that it was sort of drafty. :0)

StudentPraise God you are doing well. As Victoria said, I wish we knew sooner to keep you in prayer during all your trail. Did the doctor say what caused it? What I have been learning about EMF waves it is so very important to keep cell phones way from the head, use the speaker option or ear buds that filter out most of the radiation. I think your brain has had enough radiation. I appreciate all the you are teaching me. Take care Doc and May Yehovah our God Bless you and Keep you in Yeshua/Jesus’s Name.

StudentWow Doc! All that you’ve been through, and all that you have accomplished with your school, YouTube channel, conferences AND personal practice amazes me(and so may others). You’re quite the inspiration, and such a valued mentor to so many people. Ive been following you on YouTube for a couple years prior to enrolling in the school this year. It was a treat meeting you and your family this year at the Ozark Homestead Conference in Marshfield, Mo. My husband also appreciated meeting another veterinarian that has such an interest in herbs, and a fun sense of humor as yours! I really appreciate your positivity and lightheartedness in all your videos, can’t help but smile and laugh with your jokes. You’re a very uplifting spirit that spreads so much joy; may you continue to heal and be blessed in the coming year. Thank you for all the knowledge and helping make it relatable and easy to understand.
