Does it matter which kind of viburnum opulus?

I am seeing various newer cultivars of Viburnum Opulus. It looks like the one most often sold is sterile. Does it matter which one I grow for medicinal use? Do I want the one with berries? Are the berries useful or easier to not have to bother with the mess that berries can make?

Mine doesn’t make berries and works fine medicinally.
