I am making a tincture from the AZMA formula (a powder purchased from Homegrown Herbalist). Since it is for a cat, and I am not hopeful about him taking a straight alcohol tincture I used 2 parts vodka and 3 parts glycerin. I know the glycerin is much thicker than the alcohol, but the herbs seemed to suck up all the moisture. The powder is pasty, like a thick brownie batter. If I added 2 more parts vodka and 3 more glycerin would my dosing be twice the otherwise recommended amount? I’m wondering if straight vodka would have been all that much looser. It seem very dry with 2 parts vodka, and it doesn’t seem that doubling that would make it as liquid-y as I expected. Any advice to salvage my tincture is appreciated. My kitty has asthma and I want to wean him off the steroids.
