Oregon Grape – – – Hard to powder

My vita-mix is heating up trying to powered oregon grape.  Its part of the “Stomach calm” formula.  If I was just going to tincture it, not ground fine would probably be okay.  But, I was hoping to add honey to the powder to make little pills and take the powder that way.

Putting my hand on the vita-mix now to feel for heat (when grinding up dried roots) Will stop and let it cool down before continuing.

Also using highest speed because I have been told the fan goes on to cool the motor when on the highest speed.

Next I will check to see if I need a different blade (ie: I think I may need a different blade for crushing things like myrrh)
