My daughter was talking to me about remedies and cell salts in the homeopathy realm.  What are your thoughts on remedies and cell salts?  Is there validity in either one?

        Thanks – Beth

        Blessings,
        Beth

cell salts are just very refined mineral. They have use in healing, but you find cell salts in plants and herbals. Most homeopathic are also Plant based. They work in a different way than basic herbs. I have worked with both of the but I prefer herbal in most classes.

Hello from another Beth. I have been using homeopathy successfully for a little over two years. I’ve treated my mother’s sciatica, the MRSA on my son’s foot, even my dog’s fear of thunderstorms.  I’m now starting an herbal study as a backup because there seems to be a deliberate attempt to remove homeopathic remedies from the marketplace.

What did you use for sciatica?

She took Rhus Tox 30C twice a day and Hypericum 200C twice a day.   Then because it was right-sided she also took Mag Phos 200C  twice a day.  All were liquid doses.  I told her to take it for 8 weeks and then we’d re-evaluate.  She’d only been taking the remedies for 3 1/2 weeks when she went on vacation. She called me when she got home and said she didn’t realize but she didn’t have any pain the whole trip where she used to get attacks 5 days a week at least.

Homeopathy is interesting to me, could you share where to get information on how to learn more about how it works

Tradition homeopathy is very difficult, involving a multi hour interview/evaluation of the patient to learn their symptoms and odd things like do the like hot or cold drinks. All this to determine the one remedy out of hundreds that will solve all their issues. I prefer to use what has been called “practical homeopathy.” There’s a family in India that has been using homeopathy to treat patients for five generations. Their clinic sees 1000patients a day. They have compiled a database of diagnoses and the remedies used to treat them. Their protocols have an 80-85 percent success rate and the usually have a second or third line protocol to treat the remaining 15 percent. Look up the Banerji protocols or Joette Calabrese (an American homeopath who studied at the Banerji clinic).

That family in India sounds really interesting!  I’ve been studying on my own with bits and pieces here and there. For now, I’ll focus on finishing this course before I more formally study homeopathy.  I have learned how to make a formula using what material is making one ill. (lets say a known allergy to a specific plant) I made one for my sister, but she ended up not using it.  I’m grateful to understand the principles behind how and why it works.  I think its an important piece to the whole picture of natural healing. Thanks for sharing your experience.
