Thyroid problems in dogs

I have a golden retriever that is 13 months old, spayed at 6 months old. Up to date on all vaccines. She is gaining weight. I bring her and my 2 standard poodles to the groomer every 6 weeks. My golden only goes because she feels left out if she doesn’t  have a spa day too! My groomer told me I should bring her to the vet and have her thyroid checked. She gains weight every month. She is very calm and lazy as well. My groomer says my golden is the most calm and lazy golden she sees in her business. Is there a herb that can help get her ‘back to normal’?

That’s interesting! She seems quite young to be putting the pounds on already. I’m wondering if one of the ginsengs would help her. I hear they are overall stimulating to the body.
