We had a beautiful (Dexter crossed with some Angus) male calf born 3 days ago. He was very lethargic when we found him. My husband and I have been tube feeding him into his stomach. Very unpleasant for this city girl. Horrible experience for baby. He’s more perky but he fights the bottle and absolutely will not latch onto to momma. We tried something called ‘calf perk’ that has green tea for caffeine and cassia oil to get his brain going. It doesn’t seem to be doing anything. No doubt this whole thing is quite traumatizing for him. Anybody have any suggestions. Much appreciate any word of advise.
